SummerHill Homes’ Green Task Force is our internal think-tank that innovates new green building practices and technologies. The group provides on-going education and research on green construction materials and techniques. The task force works with a diverse community of industry experts who share our commitment to green building practices. Building increasingly sustainable homes requires informed decision-making throughout the homebuilding process, and we are committed to staying informed.

We use independent third-party verification to confirm that our construction practices achieve the high standards that we set for our homes.

We’ve partnered with Build It Green®, a California non-profit that has written the green building standards which are rapidly being adopted by city governments throughout the entire state of California. Build It Green® has developed the Green Point Rated® program, an objective home rating system based on energy efficiency, resource conservation, indoor air quality, water conservation and community development in

California. SummerHill has voluntarily undergone Build It Green’s® GreenPoint Rated® certification on many of its current communities.
