More parents are opting for gender-neutral nurseries for lots of reasons, whether they want to create a more sophisticated room, waiting for the birth to find out the baby\u2019s gender, expecting mixed-gender twins, or simply want something other than the traditional pink or blue. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gender neutral nurseries heavily rely on design instead of\ntraditional color palettes. It can be difficult knowing where to begin since\nthere\u2019s typically less inspiration to draw from than typical gendered\nnurseries. Here are some tips on creating the perfect gender-neutral nursery\nfor your new arrival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pick a theme or color scheme<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Just like any room in the house, start by selecting a theme\nor color scheme for the nursery. There\u2019s plenty of themes to choose from like\nanimals, adventure, vintage, boho, rustic, woodland creatures, just to name a\nfew. Or choose a color scheme to build your design around (including\npatterns!). Make it simple by choosing a neutral color for the walls and add\npops of color through accessories like bedding or decor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Choose your nursery furniture<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Create a cohesive look by picking a single furniture finish\nfor the room. Choose items that can grow with baby. Instead of picking out\nbaby-specific pieces like a changing table, choose a functional piece like a\ndresser or desk that\u2019s at the right height where you can comfortably change\nbaby. Once baby outgrows diapers, you can use the piece for its intended\npurpose. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Personalize with accessories<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Now that you\u2019ve chosen a theme and furniture, it\u2019s time to\ncomplete your design with some fun accessories.
