So in honor of this amazing holiday, let\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s briefly review the labor of homebuilding and why we ALL deserve a day off.<\/p>\n

Labor (n)<\/a>: 1 A<\/strong> :<\/strong> expenditure of physical or mental effort especially when difficult or compulsory. B\u00c2 (1)<\/em> :<\/strong> human activity that provides the goods or services in an economy<\/p>\n

Homebuilding involves both these definitions\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 building a home is no small task- it requires many industries starting with land sellers and city planners, and moving up to architects, engineers, and almost every conceivable area of construction from plumbing to landscaping to electrical and bulldozing. But homebuilding also fulfills the second definition. The action of homebuilding obviously provides new homes, but it also provides work and jobs to people like you and me.<\/p>\n

1. Land tour- find out what\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s available
\n2. Research- how is the neighborhood? Are there good schools? What type of home should we build?
\n3. Open escrow
\n4. Architect creates floor plans and elevations \u00c2 for review- so fun to look at!
\n5. Submit plans to the City for approval
\n6. Close escrow- (helps to own the land first right?)
\n7. Begin site improvements- clearing land for construction to start- a big job!
\n8. Research and purchase best products- lumber, windows, doors, etc\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6
\n9.\u00c2 Begin production construction<\/p>\n

Phew! Well that\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s all the work I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m doing today.<\/p>\n
