The Wall Street Journal 2009 Technology Innovation Awards<\/a> article got me thinking with everything from\u00c2\u00a0paper-thin flexibile speakers to small, lightweight fuel cells<\/a> to EcoRock (a drywall substitute), there is a lot of innovation happening in technology to make our lives easier and more environmentally friendly.<\/p>\n

For homes, we’re hearing about solar technology<\/a> to smart grids<\/a> to better refrigeration<\/a> – there is so much being designed to make us more efficient. \u00c2\u00a0Now, since some of the technology is still so new, it is still cost prohibitive for us consumers to install in our homes. \u00c2\u00a0As the technology becomes more mainstream and costs go down, we’re sure to adopt it more and more.<\/p>\n
