FAQs Re: COVID-19

Are you currently open and selling homes?
Yes! We are selling homes in all of our active communities, by appointment, with opportunity for prospective buyers and agents to tour, privately or self-guided, following proper social distancing requirements. Our model homes offer WiFi-compatible locks, easy to provide remote access for you to tour using a private code. We have homes available for future delivery, Spring 2021 or later, as well as quick move-in homes that are completed and ready now. We’re available by appointment, as well as via Virtual Tour using a variety of video conferencing options.

Are your model homes open, by appointment only?
Yes, our models are available by appointment to tour, either privately or self-guided, your choice. It’s important to us that our customers feel comfortable. In addition to tours available by-appointment, we have high-quality photos, 3D, and Virtual Tours available on our website. Visit our
Media Gallery, or our Communities for more information. 

What steps are you taking for safety
in your Model Homes and Sales Offices?

We are taking all necessary precautions to enforce social distancing.

Sanitizer Stations in Sales Offices and Models.

Allowing for private tours of our model and production homes,
by appointment only.

Following the guidelines for a maximum of
2 persons per tour. (per community)

We are requiring guests to wear a face mask during their visit

We have installed social distancing signage and floor stickers to ensure proper safety measures. 

Upon entry to our models, we have available a box of
disposable shoe covers to wear while touring. 

Our model homes are professionally cleaned each week,
as part of a regular cleaning service.

How can I schedule a tour?
 Under our
SummerHill Communities and Media Gallery, you may schedule a tour that best fits your needs.  We offer private, self-guided, and virtual tours. We also offer appointments for information only, if this is how you’d like to begin your experience. We are also available via a variety of video-conferencing options.

Can you email me photos or a link to floorplans or a virtual tour?
Absolutely. You may contact us directly by phone or email to request information. Or, using our Schedule an Appointment request, you may select Information Only and a Community Sales Manager will send you information. We also have floorplan and virtual tours available online.

Will it take longer to build my home?
Due to the Shelter-in-Place Order, some of our projects are experiencing slight delays, depending on location and local jurisdictions related to the current shelter in place requirements.

What steps are you taking to keep the construction site clean and safe.
Per the current Shelter-in-Place Order, we have assigned a Site Compliance Officer (SCO) to each community, to properly manage and enforce the health and safety of our construction team and trade partners. We have implemented specific protocol by adding washing stations throughout the site, additional signage with information pertaining to Covid-19, as well as, temperature stations checking workers in each day prior to starting work. We have our Construction Management on-site, enforcing social distancing at all times.

Will my home be thoroughly cleaned and sterilized before I move in?
As a SummerHill standard, all homes are professionally cleaned prior to delivering a home to a new homeowner.

Will someone be able to enter my home for service after I move in?
No, not at this time. Unless a service item is deemed Essential, as defined in the SIP Order, or considered a true emergency, our Warranty team, Subcontractors, etc. are limited under the current Shelter-in-Place Order.
